Exchange Student
I’m an exchange student from Ritsumeikan University, Japan and my major is in International Relationship. As my studies at Ritsumeikan university have gone deeper, I get interested in how to have foreigners to know Japan and Japanese culture and I would like to have a job related to tourism for foreign tourists, therefore, I decided to study abroad to study tourism and hospitality more technically. Moreover, the reason why I chose UNCG is that I can also learn sustainability at the same time because an environment is obviously important for tourism and it is necessary to consider the connections with each other for a long-term perspective.
I actually was born in New York and I still have dual citizenship, Japan and the United States. However, both of my parents are Japanese, and we were back to Japan before entering elementary school. So, I spend most of my life in Japan. This background of mine gives a huge impact on my personality and value and I do not think everyone has such a background. I regard it as my advantage and thank my family for letting me have such a great gift.
This e-portfolio is not just a record of my GLP activities and it is also a roundup of my study at UNCG.
